- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Nimna completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) at Monash University in 2018. She was awarded a Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship from Drug Discovery Biology at Monash University and commenced her PhD in 2020 under the supervision of Professor Mark Febbraio, Professor Rebecca Ritchie and Dr Miles De Blasio. Nimna’s research primarily focuses on how extracellular vesicles signal in settings of exercise, obesity and diabetes to alter cardiac structure and function. She hopes her research will delineate the mechanisms in which exercise-derived extracellular vesicles may play a protective role in obesity and diabetes-related cardiac disease.
